What it means in RankGear
You reach Site Builder from the Create menu. Point it at a folder of the HTML reports RankGear has already generated, and it stitches them into a single static site — a set of linked, self-contained pages you can host anywhere. Once built, the same workflow can publish the site for the first time or push an update over an existing one, so a folder of individual reports becomes a browsable deliverable rather than a pile of loose files.
How to interpret it
Read Site Builder as a packaging and delivery step, not an analysis of your pages. What matters when you run it is the state of three things: the input folder you selected, whether the current build or publish task has finished, and the artifact RankGear reports back — the generated site location or the published URL. If the output looks wrong, the usual cause is the input folder (missing or stale reports), not the ranking data inside those reports.
Example
Say you have run a batch of competitor and keyword reports for a client and RankGear has written each one as an HTML file into a project folder. You open Create → Site Builder, select that folder, and let it build. It produces a static site whose index links out to every report, and you use the publish option to push it live. Next week you regenerate the reports, re-run Site Builder against the same folder, and choose update — the hosted site refreshes with the new versions in place.
Important considerations
- Site Builder describes RankGear behavior and navigation. It packages and publishes reports; it is not a ranking signal and does not change how any page performs in search.
- The output is only as current as the HTML reports in the folder you point it at — regenerate the underlying reports before rebuilding if the data has moved on.
- The result is a static site: it reflects the reports as they were at build time and does not update on its own until you run the workflow again.
