This factor is a yes/no flag for whether a Zanox affiliate tracking parameter appears anywhere in the rendered page body. It returns 1 when a Zanox zanpid= token is present and 0 when it is not. A match only signals that the parameter string exists — it does not confirm the link tracks, pays out, or is even live.

What it measures
RankGear checks whether a Zanox tracking parameter is present in the page body. Zanox (an affiliate network now trading as Awin) stamps outbound partner links with a zanpid session token so the network can attribute a click to a publisher. The factor is a plain presence signal: it records that the token appears in the body of the page, nothing more about its purpose or performance.
How RankGear measures it
RankGear searches the rendered, script-free page body case-insensitively for the literal string zanpid= followed by one or more digits. The parameter can appear anywhere in the body text — it does not have to sit inside an anchor href. A single match sets the flag to 1; no match leaves it at 0.
What RankGear looks for
zanpid=[0-9]+ (case-insensitive, anywhere in body text)
<a href="https://example.com/?zanpid=1234567890">Shop the deal</a>| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 1 | A zanpid= token followed by digits was found somewhere in the page body. |
| 0 | No Zanox tracking token was found in the body. |
How to optimize it
Treat this as an observation about what monetization footprint your page carries, not a target to raise or lower. Retain Zanox tracking parameters only for active, disclosed partnerships, and remove obsolete tracking left over from expired campaigns. Where you do run affiliate links, follow current sponsored-link practices (clear disclosure and appropriate link attributes). Do not add or strip zanpid parameters to influence this score — the flag describes the page, it does not reward you.
Important considerations
- Plain code samples or quoted text containing
zanpid=can trigger a match even when no live affiliate link exists. - Other Zanox link formats that do not use the
zanpidtoken may be missed, so a 0 is not proof the page is Zanox-free. - Presence of the parameter does not verify that the tracking is functional, attributed, or paying out.
- Do not add parameters to chase this score.
- This is a correlational descriptor within a measured result set, not a cause of ranking. The presence of a Zanox token does not make a page rank and carries no ranking guarantee.
