What it means in RankGear
You reach Supplemental Content from the Create menu. You give it a prompt describing the page or topic you are working on, and it drafts supporting sections — the kind of secondary blocks that flesh out a page beyond its core answer, such as short explainers, contextual asides, or supporting Q&A. You review what comes back, discard what does not fit, and keep the sections that earn a place. Whatever you retain can then be exported in a choice of formats to move into your editor or CMS.
How to interpret it
Read it as a drafting workflow, not a scoring step. There is no metric to read here and nothing that changes a page’s measured position — the output is raw copy that still needs your editorial judgment. Before you export, confirm three things: the inputs you gave the prompt actually describe the page in front of you, the task has finished rather than still running, and the retained sections are the ones you meant to keep. What you export is what RankGear hands off; it does not re-check the copy for accuracy or fit.
Example
Say you are expanding a buyer’s guide on standing desks. You open Create → Supplemental Content and prompt it for supporting sections on ergonomics, cable management, and warranty considerations. It returns a draft for each. You cut the warranty block because your product pages already cover it, tighten the ergonomics copy, and keep the cable-management section as written. You then export the two retained sections as Markdown and paste them into your draft.
Important considerations
