This factor counts recognized Belboon affiliate ad-tracking links in a page’s rendered body. It returns a whole number — a tally of matching URLs, not a measure of link quality, unique destinations, or revenue — so read a higher count as a description of the page, never as a target to chase.

What it measures
RankGear counts the recognized Belboon ad-tracking URLs that appear on a page. Belboon is an affiliate network, and its ad-tracking links are how outbound clicks to advertisers are attributed back to the publisher. The factor reports how many such recognized links a page carries, expressed as a single whole number per page.
How RankGear measures it
RankGear scans the rendered, script-free page body and counts case-insensitive HTTP or HTTPS matches to a Belboon ad-tracking URL: a www host — optionally carrying trailing digits — on belboon.de, followed by the /adtracking path. Each match adds one to the tally, and that tally is the factor’s value.
What RankGear looks for
https?://www\d*\.belboon\.de/adtrackingHow to optimize it
Treat the count as an observation, not a score to inflate. Keep only affiliate links that are useful, current, and clearly disclosed as commercial, and remove redundant or duplicated placements. Adding more Belboon links purely to lift the number accomplishes nothing on its own — the count describes what a page already carries, it does not reward a page for carrying more.
Important considerations
- Other Belboon link formats may not fit this pattern and can be missed, so the count can understate a page’s total affiliate usage.
- The value reflects matching URLs only — it does not measure unique destinations, distinct advertisers, or conversions.
- More links are not inherently better; a higher count is neither a goal nor a guarantee of anything.
- The inherited display name for this factor carries a double space (“Number of Affiliate Links”) — a cosmetic quirk, not a difference in what is measured.
- Correlation is not causation: this count relates to where pages sit within a measured result set. It is a prioritization signal, not something that makes a page rank.
