Has JSON-LD Motel

This factor reports whether RankGear finds a JSON-LD @type of Motel in a page’s raw source HTML. It returns 1 when the pattern is present and 0 when it is not — but it matches text, not a validated schema graph, so a stray string can register as present.

What it measures

This factor reports whether RankGear finds an @type value of Motel in the raw source of the page. It is a simple presence check: the page either declares the Motel structured-data type in its markup, or it does not.

How RankGear measures it

RankGear searches the raw HTML for the @type declaration of Motel, allowing flexible whitespace around the "@type": "Motel" string and optionally accepting a schema: prefix. Matching is case-insensitive, so capitalization differences do not change the result.

What RankGear looks for

"@type": "Motel"
"@type" : "schema:Motel"
"@type":"MOTEL"
ValueMeaning
1A Motel @type string was found in the raw HTML.
0No Motel @type string was found.

How to optimize it

Use the Motel type only for a real motel, and make sure the structured data reflects content users can actually verify on the page — accurate rooms, amenities, location, availability, policies, ratings, and contact information. Treat a value of 1 as confirmation that the declaration exists, not as proof that the schema is complete or valid. Every property you declare should correspond to something visible in the page content.

Important considerations

  • The detector pattern-matches source text; it does not parse or validate a JSON-LD graph.
  • A matching string that appears outside valid JSON-LD — in a comment, an example, or unrelated text — can still produce a 1.
  • Capitalization differences do not affect detection, since matching is case-insensitive.
  • Validate the complete structured data independently before relying on it.
  • This is a prioritization signal that relates to position within a measured result set. Presence of the type correlates with, but does not cause or guarantee, any ranking.
