Variations in P Tags counts how many times your keyword’s variations appear inside the page’s paragraph (<p>) text. It is a raw occurrence count of matched terms, not a quality score — more mentions is not the same as more helpful content.

What it measures
This factor counts keyword variations that appear inside the page’s HTML paragraph elements. Rather than checking a single exact phrase, it tallies the recognized variations of the target term wherever they occur in the running paragraph text of the page.
How RankGear measures it
RankGear extracts the recognized <p> contents, cleans their HTML, and sums case-insensitive whole-word variation matches. Matching is done longest-first and without overlap, so each stretch of text is credited once and longer variations take precedence over the shorter ones they might contain.

Important considerations
- Text outside
<p>elements — headings, list items, captions, and other markup — does not contribute to this count. - Repetition can raise the count without improving quality; a higher number is not automatically better.
- Matching occurs after HTML cleaning, so tags and inline markup are stripped before words are counted.
- Read it alongside paragraph count and keyword density rather than in isolation.
- This is a correlation-based prioritization signal: the count relates to position within a measured result set. It does not make a page rank or guarantee any ranking.
