Resume Remaining is the recovery action that picks a Bulk Run back up from where it stopped, re-running only the rows that were still queued or interrupted while keeping every row that already finished successfully.

What it means in RankGear
When a Bulk Run is stopped partway — you close the app, the network drops, or you cancel it manually — RankGear remembers which rows completed and which never got their turn. Resume Remaining is the control that appears on that interrupted batch. Choosing it tells RankGear to skip everything that already produced a result and process only the rows still marked as queued or failed-to-start, so a half-finished run can reach completion without starting over.
How to interpret it
Read Resume Remaining as a scope decision, not a re-analysis. It does not re-score or overwrite rows that already succeeded; those results are preserved exactly as they were captured. Before you trigger it, confirm the batch’s inputs are still the ones you intended and check the row states so you know how many items are actually outstanding. What comes back is the same artifact the original run was building — the completed workbook or report — now filled in for the rows that had been left behind.
Example
You start a Bulk Run to audit 200 URLs. At URL 130 your laptop loses Wi-Fi and the batch stalls. When you reopen RankGear, the interrupted batch shows 129 rows finished and the rest pending. You click Resume Remaining, and RankGear works through URLs 130 to 200 only, leaving the first 129 audits untouched and merging the new results into the same report.
Important considerations
- Resume Remaining reprocesses only outstanding rows; it will not refresh or re-run rows that already completed, so if you need updated data for the whole set you must start a new run.
- Rows that previously errored are treated as remaining and will be attempted again, which is useful for transient failures but will repeat if the underlying cause has not been fixed.
- This is a workflow and navigation behavior in RankGear, not a ranking signal — resuming a batch describes how the app recovers work, and says nothing on its own about how any page will perform in search.
