What it measures

This factor counts LSI term occurrences within H5 headings. RankGear takes the run’s LSI list — the related terms it has associated with the query — and tallies every time one of those terms surfaces in the text of an H5 element. The result is a single count for the page, reflecting how far the fifth heading level restates the page’s related vocabulary.

How RankGear measures it

RankGear parses each H5 on the page and totals case-insensitive, word-aware matches for every item in the run’s LSI list. Matching ignores letter case and respects word boundaries, so a term is counted where it appears as a whole word rather than as a fragment inside a longer word. Every H5’s contribution is summed into one page-level count.

How to optimize it

Treat this as an observation, not a target. Include a related term in an H5 only when the page naturally requires that hierarchy level and the phrase genuinely clarifies the subsection. Do not add H5 headings, or stuff related terms into them, to move the number — the factor rewards nothing beyond terms that a real content structure already calls for. On most pages the honest value here is 0, and that is fine.

Important considerations

  • Repeated terms increase the count — the same term used twice counts twice.
  • The factor does not assess heading quality, only related-term occurrences.
  • Most pages require few or no H5 elements, so a low or zero count is expected and unremarkable.
  • This is a correlation-based prioritization signal measured within a result set. It relates to position; it does not make a page rank or guarantee any ranking.
