Search Result Has Price

Search Result Has Price is a binary check that reports whether the parsed SERP result shows a numeric price greater than zero. RankGear returns 1 when a positive price is present and 0 when it is missing or not displayed — it describes an observed search-result feature, and a value of 1 is not inherently better than 0.

What it measures

This factor reports whether the parsed SERP result has a numeric price greater than zero. It records a feature of the result as it appears in the search listing — a displayed price value — rather than inspecting the markup of the page behind the link.

How RankGear measures it

RankGear reads the SearchResult.price field for the parsed result, treats a missing value as 0, and returns 1 only when the price is a positive value. Any result with no provider-supplied price, or with a price of zero, returns 0. The value therefore reflects the price data attached to the parsed result, not a raw text match against the page.

ValueMeaning
1The parsed result carries a numeric price greater than zero.
0No price is present — the provider data is missing, or no price is displayed.

How to optimize it

For eligible commercial pages, provide accurate visible price and offer data backed by valid structured data, and keep currency, availability, and landing-page information consistent with what the page shows. Treat the factor itself as an observation, not a target: search engines decide whether a price appears in the result, so this is not a value to engineer toward directly. Never add inaccurate pricing or markup in an attempt to trigger the feature.

Important considerations

  • This measures the observed SERP feature — a displayed price on the parsed result — not merely the page markup behind the link.
  • Both missing provider data and no displayed price return 0, so a 0 does not tell you which of the two occurred.
  • Search engines decide whether a price appears; the result reflects their rendering, not only what a page declares.
  • Do not add inaccurate pricing or markup to trigger the feature.
  • This relates to how a result appears within a measured result set and does not make a page rank; a value of 1 is not inherently preferable to 0.
