Variations in NoScript Tags

Variations in NoScript Tags counts how many of your tracked keyword variations appear inside a page’s noscript fallback content, returning a whole number. Read it as an observation of where variations show up — not a place to add keywords, since noscript content is written for environments where scripting is unavailable and often never renders during normal browsing.

What it measures

This factor counts keyword variations found in the fallback content enclosed by noscript elements. RankGear treats the text inside every recognized noscript block as a single measured zone and tallies how many of your tracked variations appear there. The result is a raw occurrence count for one page.

How RankGear measures it

RankGear extracts the recognized noscript contents from the script-free body, cleans their HTML, and sums case-insensitive whole-word variation matches. Only whole-word hits are counted, and matching ignores letter case, so the number reflects genuine variation occurrences inside the cleaned fallback text rather than partial or substring matches.

How to optimize it

Provide useful fallback content only where script-dependent functionality genuinely needs an accessible alternative. Treat this factor as an observation rather than a target: the goal of a noscript block is to serve people and agents that cannot run scripts, not to hold extra keyword variations. If a page has no script-dependent behavior to fall back from, a low or zero count here is normal and not a problem to fix.
